RNC Statement On Women's History Month

- March 1, 2017

WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on Women’s History Month:

“This month marks a celebration of thousands of powerful women who have shaped the course of history,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. “I am honored to serve as the second woman to ever lead our party and the first in decades. It is the strength and resolve of women who led the decades-long fight for equality that has made possible the leadership of the women we admire today. Rising stars like Congresswoman Mia Love, whose moving March for Life address gave hope to millions of Americans that we will protect life for generations to come, and Congresswoman Barbara Comstock, who authored legislation the president signed yesterday to empower women in STEM, have answered the call to lead at the highest levels. Courageous women like Lolita Zinke, the mother of two Navy SEALs, have engaged in their communities to advocate for the importance of supporting our men and women who keep us safe every day. From enduring Party leaders like Del. Amata Radewagen to newly-elected leaders like Congresswoman Liz Cheney, the Republican Party has never had so many trailblazing women ready to continue making history for generations to come. Throughout this month, I look forward to highlighting the work that these women, and so many more, have done and will do to champion freedom for all women around the world.”
